Optimistic Media LLC operates optimisticmedia.net and its subdomains, including our streaming service OPTtv (tv.optimisticmedia.net). This policy covers those websites. Our mobile apps (Dear Optimist, GenEraZions, Ice Cream Social) have their own privacy policies.
OPTtv accounts (optional): if you create an account, we collect your email address and a display name, and we store your watch progress so you can resume titles across devices.
Anonymous usage: we count video plays and ad impressions in aggregate. These counters are not tied to your identity.
Technical: standard server logs (IP address, browser type) processed by our hosting provider to deliver the sites and prevent abuse.
You can browse and watch OPTtv without an account.
Our sites may show advertising, including sponsor messages we serve ourselves (which use no cookies and no personal data) and ads served by Google (AdSense / Ad Manager). Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads; see how Google uses ad data and manage your preferences at adssettings.google.com.
We keep OPTtv account data while your account is active. To delete your account and its data, email hello@optimisticmedia.net from the account's email address and we will remove it.
We protect your information using industry-standard measures, and data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.
Our sites are general-audience and OPTtv accounts are intended for users 13+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact hello@optimisticmedia.net and we will delete it.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EU/UK) and the CCPA/CPRA (California) to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@optimisticmedia.net.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective" date above and, where appropriate, with an in-app notice.
