OPT Spotlight is Upstate New York's poetry & comedy talent search — Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, and everywhere in between — running July 20 – August 16, 2026. Upstate performers compete, the public votes on OPTtv, and the Top 5 in each category — ten finalists in all — perform at OPT Spotlight Live in Rochester on Sunday, August 16, where a judging panel crowns the winners on stage. Your brand can be the name on Upstate's stage — literally.

Season 1 awards $250 to the comedy winner and $250 to the poetry winner. The presenting sponsorship covers the entire prize pool — so when we hand the winners their checks, it's your name we thank. Community sponsorship that people can actually see.

Venue wanted — in-kind counts. The live Top-10 showcase — OPT Spotlight Live — is Sunday, August 16, 2026, in Rochester, and the venue will carry the night's name. Comedy clubs, theaters, breweries: hosting can be traded at rate-card value. Production services and prize add-ons too.
